See Kai Run® Celebrates Five Years of Bringing the Perfect First Shoe to Consumers

Seattle, WA, November 2009 – This November See Kai Run marks its fifth year as the popular manufacturer of the perfect first shoe for new walkers with 1,200 doors in North America, availability in over 20 countries, to-date donation of nearly 34,000 pairs to children in need, and placement at #196 on the 2009 Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

“Building See Kai Run for the past 5 years has been such a thrilling and satisfying ride,” says founder Cause Haun. “We’ve come such a long way since my husband and I filled orders from our basement – but the core values of our company have not changed. We work hard to continue to provide the best customer service possible and make a product people believe in and get excited about. We want to thank all the parents and grandparents who choose See Kai Run footwear for the little ones in their lives.”

In 2004, husband and wife founders, Cause Haun and Chen Gang, first brought See Kai Run shoes to children’s boutiques, answering a call from parents like themselves for a comfortable, stylish first shoe for their kids. Inspired by their own 2-year old son, Kai, they created a shoe that was entirely different than what was offered at the time. It wasn’t long before the concept caught fire, generating buzz in the pre-Facebook world of mom blogs, bulletin boards, and by word of mouth. Even celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Ben Stiller, and Salma Hayek have become fans and chosen See Kai Run for their own children.

See Kai Run celebrates its fifth birthday all month long with special deals for both wholesale and retail customers. Visit www.seekairun.com for more details.

About See Kai Run

See Kai Run and Smaller promote healthy development of babies' and children's feet with their ultra-flexible soles, soft leather and wide toe box. Our footwear meets the American Podiatric Medical Association's rigorous standards for foot health and functionality and has been awarded the APMA's prestigious Seal of Acceptance. Retail prices starts at $32.

See Kai Run is a family-owned and operated business located outside of Seattle, Washington. The idea was born when founder Cause Haun was on a quest for the perfect first pair of shoes for her son, Kai. Unable to find shoes in fun styles that still promoted the healthy development of little feet, Cause and her husband created their own line of shoes that satisfied all of these needs. In 5 years, See Kai Run has seen sales expand from a few boutiques, mostly in the Seattle area, to stores all around the country and worldwide. Please visit www.seekairun.com for additional information.

Big Thoughts for Little People - Review

Big Thoughts for Little People by Kenneth N. Taylor

Ages 3-7

Thanks to Kenneth Taylor and Tyndale House Publishing, M and B were one of the first to experience Big Thoughts for Little People! It is truly the ABC's to help you grow as each page is filled with Christian values, morals and questions that can be applied to everyday life.

My favorite part of the book comes from the letter L...it reads:

L is for lying,
A thing not to do.
No matter what happens,
Only say what is true.

This is a perfect lesson for M as she doesn't understand that sometimes stretching the truth isn't something that a person should get used to. For instance...the below conversation will occur between M and myself, but yet she just doesn't get that lying is something we shouldn't do.

ME: Did you make your bed this morning?
M: Yep.
ME: Are you sure? I will go check.
M: Yep...but give me a few minutes before you come and check.:)

M is at that age where she needs these little life lessons to remind her of the morals and values we are trying to instill upon her. And thanks to Big Thoughts for Little People we now have 26 of them from A-Z!

Thanks Big Thoughts for Little People for a great book and a valuable learning tool.

About Kenneth Taylor:

Throughout his publishing career, Dr. Kenneth Taylor's dream was for all peoples of the world to read and understand God's Word and experience its power at work in their lives.
From his earliest children's books to his generous support of Christian ministry, this vision was (and still is) reflected in his work. Ken Taylor, founder of Tyndale House Publishers, died in June 2005 at the age of 88.

Early in his publishing career in the 1950s as director of Moody Press, Dr. Taylor wrote several children's books. Born out of experience with his own ten children, Stories for the Children's Hour, The Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes, and others are now being enjoyed by a third generation of children. My First Bible in Pictures was included in Publishers Weekly's list of "All-Time Best-Selling Children's Books" in 2001. His love for children (including his 28 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren) continues to inspire new titles.

BUY IT: You can purchase Big Thoughts for Little People from Amazon for $10.19.

Kidorable - Review & Giveaway

Thanks to Kidorable, B is now running around the house rain or shine in his new Fireman Rain Coat and Fireman Rain Boots!

The rain coat is made of thick vinyl, this allows me not to worry about B getting wet while playing out in the rain. While the rain boots are made of light weight rubber allowing for B's little piggy's keep warm and dry as well.

M and B love playing in the rain and up until now B would have to play outside in his tennis shoes and a rain poncho that didn't quite fit him. He would always come in with soaking, cold feet and wet hair. Now, thanks to Kidorable, I don't have to worry about this, as his feet and hair are as dry as a bone when he comes in!

Thanks Kidorable for perfect rain gear!! My only problem is now M is dying to have the Ladybug Style...guess we'll see if she's good enough:)

The Kidorable Story:

In 1997, Kidorable sprung from the minds, hearts and efficiency apartment of Liping and Jonathan Domsky. They proclaimed, "The world needs someone to create children's apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that."

And so Kidorable was conceived. Starting with lions and cats and bears, oh my, manifested as umbrellas and hangers, Kidorable generated enough sales during its first year to break even and plant fruitful Kidorable seeds throughout the land. The following year sales grew ten fold. Every year since, give or take, a new style and/or product line debuted. And every year, the world joyfully embraced more Kidorable delights, give or take, than the year before.

Children, it turns out, absolutely and unconditionally love Kidorable (almost as much as their parents and other children-loving grown-ups do.)

In its first three years, Kidorable grew from a hopeful startup to a thriving business with $2 million in sales. Ever since, Kidorable has continued to blossom, evolving into a flourishing global enterprise, contributing to the success of dozens of sales professionals and thousands of retailers, with sales projected to exceed $10 million by 2010.

Throughout its first decade, the key to Kidorable's success has been growth. But not growth simply in the financial sense. For the ultimate Kidorable customers - kids - it's all about growing imaginations. For Kidorable's employees, it's all about nurturing personal and professional growth. And for everyone touched by Kidorable, it's about growing smiles. For Kidorable, growing larger is a natural and happy consequence of growing better, individual by individual.

Today Kidorable is a striking presence, not just in stores, but across the vast landscape of the children's apparel and accessories industry. By encouraging personal and professional growth in the service of imagination and smiles, Kidorable's own growth projections continue to soar.

BUY IT: Can't wait to see if you win this giveaway? You can purchase the Fireman Rain Coat for $36.00 or the Fireman Rain Boots for $29.00.

The Tallest of Smalls - Review

Photobucket

Have you ever wanted to tell a child...You matter way more than you know?? If so, The Tallest of Smalls is the perfect way to tell them.

In the beginning a little boy, named Ollie, living in the land of Stiltsville wants nothing more than to have stilts like most of the others. He tries all his might and pleads daily to get his own pair of stilts, but is turned down. Then one day, he is chosen, but stilts aren't everything that they seemed to be the day before; Ollie realizes that it's hard to walk on stilts and that the birds liked to perch on him. He soon fell to the ground only to see Jesus standing next to him, on the ground, without stilts. Jesus says to Ollie "Keep your feet on the ground, refuse to be stilted; choose low over high; leave the system tip tilted".

It's a story about how it may always look greener on the other side, but remember who you are and be happy with what you have; after all Jesus love you no matter who you are!

Thanks Thomas Nelson Publishing and Max Lucado for a great book!

About Max Lucado:

Max Lucado loves words – written, spoken – it does not matter. He loves to craft sentences that are memorable, inspiring and hopefully life-changing. In almost 25 years of writing, more than 65 million books filled with his words have been sold.

Max is the only author to have won three Christian Book of the Year* awards—in 1999 for Just Like Jesus, in 1997 for In the Grip of Grace, and in 1995 for When God Whispers Your Name. In 2005, Reader’s Digest magazine dubbed him “America’s Best Preacher” and in 2004, Christianity Today magazine called him “America’s Pastor.” The product line for 3:16—The Numbers of Hope sold more than four million units worldwide, including one million units of the cornerstone trade book of the same title (released in September 2007), making it the fastest selling Lucado product in his career.

His works have appeared on every major national bestseller list including Publishers Weekly, USA Today, The New York Times, Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, and Christian Booksellers Association. He has been featured in countless media outlets and national broadcasts.

Max’s writings have been published in a wide array of formats including adult books, gift books, children’s titles, Bibles, commentaries, calendars and devotionals. He is also the author/creator of “Max Lucado’s Hermie & Friends” brand family, one of the most popular animated DVD series in the marketplace, with more than 5 million units sold to date. His words have also inspired a branded line of greeting cards and gift books for Hallmark/Dayspring that has sold more than 15 million copies since its 2001 debut.

Max Lucado is the Minister of Writing and Preaching at the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, where he has served since 1988. He has been married to Denalyn Lucado since 1981, and they have three grown daughters—Jenna, Andrea and Sara—and one son-in-law, Brett.
